The Perfect 10

Here are the reguirements for the Perfect 10
1) Hidden in the year ****
2) Hidden in the month of **** (any year)
3) More than *** finds (yet less than #4 below)
4) Less than *** finds (yet more than #3 above)
5) Size is listed as ****
6) Cache Type is ****
5) Size is listed as ****
6) Cache Type is ****
7) Does or does not contain a HINT
8) At least *** DNFs
9) Difficulty Rating is ***
9) Difficulty Rating is ***
10) Terrain Rating is ***
The trick here is that no one knows what those goals are.
Find a cache each week and enter it in the contest.
During the week we will reveal who gained points for meeting any of the goals with their entry.
You take that information and submit your next weeks entry with the knowledge you gleened from the previous entries to get closer to the Perfect 10.
How to Play:
Enter a single cache each week that you found during that week.
You may change your entry during a week until it is scored. (an indicator will be added to each post when it is scored)
Scoring will not occur at a specific time or day.
Once an entry is scored it may not be changed and no additional entries may be made until the following week.
Using the scores of all participants as they are scored, determine which goals they may have been correct on and plan your next find based on those assumptions.
Play again next week to narrow down what goals have been met in order to select your next entry.
Use each weeks entry as a test of your assumptions.
Entries that have met one or more goals will be awarded a point for each goal attained
You will not be told which goals were met or by whom other than that a member scored a point or more for the cache entered during the week..
Use your own process to determine which goals may have been met and by which caches to select your next entry
How to post your entry:
Cache Name: (with link)
Date Hidden: (month / year)
Cache Type:
Cache size:
Hint: (yes/no)
Number of finds:
Number of DNF's:
Difficulty:
Terrain:
Posting in this manner allows all to see the ten catagories at a glance for comparison to your score.
For caches found on alternate sites, only add information that matches. If the catagory is different leave it blank. If it uses a different name include it (ie. Hint -vs- Clue)
Scoring:
For each of the goals met, 1 point is awarded to that entry.
Points are cumulative.
Points are based on the 10 requirements of the entered cache at the time of scoring.
Winning the Game:
First Prize:
A Perfect Ten Wins the game
You may find multiple Perfect Ten caches over the course of the game but only one 1st prize.
If no Perfect Ten caches are found, no First prize will be awarded.
Second Prize:
Winner will be determined by drawing / roll among participants earning at least 10 points
Players will have 1 chance to win in the drawing / roll for every 10 points earned during the contest (a score of 38 would have 3 chances in the drawing / roll)
Detailed Rules:
A week will run from Sunday to Saturday
Caches found on alternative sites may be used but may not have all goals needed for a Perfect 10.
Caches without exact matches for the Perfect 10 categories may not substitute similar categories (alternative sites)
You may not place a cache during the contest period that is intended to meet any or all goals for the purpose of supplying a cache that will provide a winning or scoring cache for the contest
You may not alter your existing caches for the purpose of meeting any of the requirements.
No Premium Member Only (or other pay to view) caches may be entered. All must be able to view the cache details.
Scoring will not occur at a specific time or day and may occur multiple times during the week.
There may be only one scored entry per week per member.
Statistics are gathered from online cache pages.
Perfect Ten entries may not be the same cache as entered in the Less Is More contest while both are running at the same time (enter a different cache for each)
Some Notes:
This game is based on a single cache that DOES meet all goals.
The Goal is attainable
There should be and are other caches that meet the same goals.
Finding the specific cache this is based on is not required or expected.
Rules Modification:
If a Pefect Ten is found, the following week will begin another round with a newly selected cache as the Perfect Ten.
The first Perfect Ten finder for each round will be awarded the first prize.
Effective 8/29/21. Should you think you have determined the Perfect Ten cache and
(1) There are none within a reasonable distance to your home location
(2) The / A Perfect Ten is no longer possible to find due to loss, destruction, inactive status, archival or similar persuant to #1 (I will let you determine what is a reasonable distance, GameMaster will determine other)
You may alternatively enter by:
Submit to the GameMaster (TermiteHunter ) the name of THE PEFECT TEN used as the reference cache in a PM while posting that a Suspected Perfect Ten Cache has been submitted as your entry in the contest thread (not revealing your suspected Perfect Ten cache) including the reason YOU are unable to find it.
The suspected cache entry will take the place of your weekly entry and may not be changed. No additional weekly entry may be made.
A Suspected cache MUST be the Reference Cache to earn points.
A correct Suspected Cache will be awarded 10 points and completion of the round.
If the Suspected Cache is not the reference cache no points will be awarded regardless of total correct goals met (even 10) and the round will continue.
Only the FIRST member submitting a correct Suspected Cache will be awarded the round. All will be awarded 10 points.
Examples:
Should a Suspected Perfect Ten submission be made with the reason that it is lost or missing and another member finds it then the suspected entry will be invalid.
Should a suspected Perfect Ten submission be made with the reason that it is too far away....I'll let you determine that but if it is within a county or so it should be attempted.
