This is where I left off yesterday.
Steel front skin. With a basic bit of trim.

Only had a couple hours today to work on it.
Side plywood (salvaged) installed

Along with some shelving. (again salvaged wood)
While not a huge feature, there is a stainless cable along the center that provides support to the thin shelves preventing sagging (from the deck railing project)

I installed ball bearing type casters but the bar seems to be too top heavy for this to be stable. They may need to be removed.
I have also added a bit of trim on the front between the wood and steel cleaning up the transition. (not pictured)
I did leave the top portion of the metal just below the bar top exposed with the metal nail heads visible for an industrial touch.
You may also notice the center cross piece has dark spots evenly spaced in pairs. That is where the roofing nails attaching the metal to the wood from the back are exposed.
They were cut off leaving a metal spot on the surface of the wood. Again more of that industrial look.
I am thinking of painting the shelves. (a light grey?) Then placing a shelving liner (the textural rubber type) on top.
Otherwise I will need to do something to the back edge to clean it up.
Since I added the side panels after installing the front boards I will need something to finish the edge. Can't just move it due to the cross piece length.
I am thinking more metal. Something utilitarian like metal corner trim for wall board if they still make that. I will have to look.
Overall I like the look.
More metal / industrial to go with the Metal Shed theme than the previous bar.
I little shorter in length. Single level. More detail in the bar top (that you have not yet seen.)
More storage for glassware. Kegerator tools. I planned shelving height for my tallest glassware on the top shelf.
Slight overhang for comfort at the bar stools.
Cons:
Seems to be top heavy and prone to tilt.
No room to store a bartender stool under the bar.
I have exposed screw heads on the front this time rather than finishing nails that where concealed on the previous version. (or is that adding to the industrial look?)
Would like to have some form of decoration or MSB logo on the front.
The upper metal portion is a little larger than the bottom lending to a possible placement top center front.
The bar top may need an edge of some sort. Something to make it appear more substantial or prevent sliding off the edge from the top.
Still debating the coloration of wood stain.
1 was rich dark stain, 2nd was light, where am I going with this one?
Paint? (grey, or black) Stain light or dark or somewhere in between?
MSB colors are White and Red. Seem too extreme with the metal. Maybe an accent but where
Suggestions?
Really if you have one. I would love to hear it.
