OK Failed Apparatus,... you can breathe now. The Theme Contest, er..., Theme... for July-Sept is "Sitcoms"!
I wanted to get more specific than just "TV Shows", so I thought we'd start with my favorite genre, Situation Comedies. Think back to the glory days of television, when the whole family would set aside a specific night of the week to gather around the tube (yes, they used to be tubes) and watch your favorite show. Think back to some of the hilarious props or settings that you still remember... all these years later. (Or for the younger set, maybe it was an episode of The Office from last week...)
Whatever your taste, share an insight into your comedic psyche with the caching public! Inquiring minds want to know.
As an added bonus, feel free to share some memories here about those shows that still make you laugh on YouTube. Should be a fun discussion.
The only special rule for this contest is that all submissions must be published AFTER June 30, 2011. Sorry Termitehunter... you'll have to pick a different Seinfeld episode.
As always, the winner will be chosen by popular vote and will win a kicking banner to gloat to all your friends of your awesomeness!! Oh, and you'll be in the running for our end of year grand prize, which is SO secret, WE don't even know what it is yet!!!
HOW'S THAT FOR EXCLUSIVE! This is the final contest in the current cycle, so we should probably figure that out soon, huh?
So get your Pop Culture brain cells fired up! Ginger or Mary Ann? Vitameatavegamin? The Regal Beagle? (OK, I'm dating myself...)
Have fun kids. And be home by 9. =))
Here is the banner for this theme (Thanks FailedApparatus!):
